Our team at The New Current invited 3 professionals to provide you with their knowledge and tools!
Our ‘Fast Forward’ program will accelerate your first steps into the art world. We recommend this program to recent graduates, but we’re more than happy to welcome anyone who feels this program fits their needs.

Karin van Gilst: How to create opportunities in the art world?
Karin van Gilst is an experienced director in the Dutch art world. She is currently director of FOAM. She previously worked as director of various cultural and media institutions, such as the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and BNNVARA. A common thread in her practice is how she increases the impact of stories that are worth spreading via media and art.
Karin's experience as a museum director makes her an excellent speaker on how artists can collaborate with museums. She will share her perspective on the museum world and share how museums build their collections.
After a short lecture about Karin's work, the rest of the afternoon will be filled with an interactive part, where participants can ask questions and continue the conversation with Karin.

Karen KnisPel: How to recognize your art buyers?
Karen is an art collector, coach, advisor and maker. In her role as coach and advisor, she designs development programs for professionals that consist of a mix of training and coaching, with an emphasis on language and behavior.
During the Fast Forward program, Karen will work on the question; how do you recognize potential buyers? What types of art buyers and collectors are there? And how can you tailor your tactics and approach accordingly? Karen previously gave workshops in which she distinguished different types of buyers and how you could recognize and read them as an artist or seller.
