GABRIËL VAN DE SLUIS & Kris McDonald

IMMURE explores the fine line between connection and discomfort, the energy of shared space, and the pressure of proximity. As you approach, the artwork responds to your presence with increasing vibrations, mimicking the rising tension we experience when personal space becomes compromised.

Like in a crowded club where bodies converge, the work symbolizes that fleeting moment when the thrill of togetherness shifts to unease—when closeness disrupts comfort. The intensifying vibrations echo this transition from shared joy to the desire for distance, reflecting the tension that builds as your personal boundary is crossed.
