ANNA OUDHOF
Turning Tables is a kinetic installation that comes to life through visitor interaction, setting it in motion to create dynamic reflections. By engaging with the piece, visitors shift from passive observation to an immersive experience, focusing on the unfolding movement.
With light and outside reflections absent during the winter pandemic, Anna discovered her own reflection in an old television satellite. Like a traditional turning table, this installation requires patience and care to function. The smartphone—one of today’s most distracting devices—becomes its light source. With your phone taken away visitors are invited to fully experience the shifting light patterns. Inside, gears allow the reflective panel to spin while the light source moves vertically, creating a mesmerizing interplay of motion and illumination.
Anna Oudhof is an intuitive designer fascinated by light and nature. From natural to artificial, from complete darkness to direct sunlight, she explores their ability to create a sense of peace.Through immersive light installations, Anna aims to engage audiences, inviting them to pause and truly experience the moment. Inspired by light and nature, her works evoke a feeling of wonder and curiosity, unveiling the extraordinary in everyday life
